Yes. Their burgers are 100% ground beef. It’s not grass-fed but it is a hell of a lot better than what Taco Bell serves. It’s beef and salt. Simple. The total amount of salt is low. Their cheese is fake so I would always skip that. They have a few decent salads and their mandarin oranges have a touch of sugar added. A potato with extra chives is another solid choice. I would just share half with someone else to lower the carb content from 60 to 30.
Wendy’s has plenty of junk but when you are on the road and need fast food then stopping at a Wendy’s is ideal unless you spot a Chipotle or Moes. Or, better yet, eat at Elevation Burger if you magically stumble upon one. They are only located in 5 states as of today but are franchising like crazy. They serve 100% grass-fed beef hamburgers and cook their fries in 100% olive oil. They get it. They care.
I studied the Wendys menu and was able to choose 10 different ideal foods that are safe to eat.
My Top 10 Food Items to Eat at Wendy’s
- 1/4 lb Single Hamburger
- 1/2 lb Double Hamburger
- 3/4 lb Triple Hamburger
- BLT Cobb Salad
- Apple Pecan Chicken Salad
- Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad
- Sour Cream & Chives Potato
- Garden Side Salad
- Caesar Side Salad
- Mandarin Oranges
When you order a salad be sure to skip the dressing every time. I enjoy mustard on salads. Don’t be afraid to try this yourself. The potato has 60 grams of carbs so splitting it with someone else may be necessary for you.
