I must say, I am shocked by the response. I was thinking that 100 responses would have made this giveaway epic. That blog post has 476 comments which is easily a record. The second most commented post doesn’t even hit 200.
Thank you.
I’m turning your responses into an epic resource. My team (it’s just 2 of us for now…) is in the middle of organizing the data. It may take a while but I’d say that a FREE resource will be available sometime in October. Join the tribe to download it when it’s officially finished.
I’m also working on several more projects which you will learn about soon. Join the tribe (and more than 1,600 awesome humans) to be the first to know about them.
Are the goodies that were given away worth buying?
It depends as always. There is no single product in the world that is for everyone. So, you must decide for yourself. I will now challenge myself to discuss each product in three sentences or less. I have not used all products; you will know which ones I have used and which ones I have not.
The goodie that eliminates the most waste
Squatty Potty: When I am at my home base I use the Squatty Potty daily and when I am away I miss it dearly. It is not at all necessary but may be worth the investment if you are unable to find anything in your home (like a box or trash can) that is not obnoxious.
Epic real food that makes you go nomnomnom
US Wellness Meats: I have never tasted a more tender beef jerky in my life. They sell 100% grass-fed beef, gourmet rabbit, wild caught seafood, compassionate certified pork and more.
TX Bar Organics: Another great online resource for grass-fed beef. They now have an Everyday Paleo Special! I have tried their stakes and ground beef and loved it all.
CocoMoJoe Bars: I love these bars and they are as legit as they could possibly be. I love all six flavors but my favorite is by far coffee since I love all things coffee. If you travel a lot then I strongly recommend you give the bars a shot! If you use discount code “Primal” at checkout, you will receive 5% off. I’ll earn a 5% commission too. Win for everyone!
Kasandrinos Imports Olive Oil: I have not been lucky enough to try this olive oil but many folks in the primal community rave about this constantly. These folks include Diane Sanfilippo and Liz Wolfe who I sincerely trust. From what I can tell, it’s real, while the far majority of olive oils sold in stores are not.
Paleo Kits – Steve’s Club: I have yet to try any of these products but once I begin my walk I definitely will be!
Tanka Bar: Buffalo jerky?! I had a small sample at Primal Con 2011 (join me in 2012!) and wish I had the money to consistently keep it in stock.
Epic t-shirts to easily spread the truth
I eat heart healthy saturated fat t-shirt: If you want to spread the truth then you need this shirt. Like now. I strongly believe that our fear of saturated fat is one of the main problems behind our disease epidemic. Which is why I had someone create a logo with this slogan!
Grok on t-shirt: I own one of these t-shirts. It’s simple, comfortable and let’s others know your style. If I saw someone wearing one, I would immediately go over to them and introduce myself.
Epic cookbooks
Practical Paleo: I’ll never be able to give Practical Paleo enough justice. It is THE book that I will recommend to anyone and everyone. I’ve made several recipes so far and love them all. I finally finished reading the first 124 pages which is all educational. I’m blown away.
Make It Paleo: I don’t own Make It Paleo, but finally had the chance to look at the amazing photos less than 2 weeks ago at a Paleo potluck in Grand Rapids, MI. There are over 200 recipes – you are certain to find dozens that you can enjoy.
NomNom Paleo iPad App & NomNom Paleo Socks: I don’t own an iPad and thus don’t own the app, but Michelle does incredible work at her blog NomNomPaleo.com and the app has received outstanding reviews. So, if you do own an iPad then definitely check this out. She was kind enough to send me a pair of socks and, well, I LOVE them!
I Love Real Food: This is written by Svenja Trierscheid whom is not well known in the online Primal community. However, I was incredibly grateful that she had sent me a review copy of I Love Real Food. I was in awe when I opened up the PDF as the photos are brilliant while the recipes are simple.
Toadally Primal Smoothies Package: If you like smoothies then you will love my ebook, Toadally Primal Smoothies. It’s full of 150 kick ass recipes and is being continuously updated. It’s available on the kindle and nook as well as an app on the iPhone and Droid. I’m working on updates that will be released in October or November. The PDF is yours FREE if you join the tribe of more than 1,600 awesome humans!
Moan Out Loud: This is a printed smoothie recipe book with 32 recipes. If you love smoothies, consume cottage cheese and are OK with eating raw egg whites, this book is for you.
Epic guides
The Paleo Budget Shopping Guide: If your main excuse to not eat real food is that you don’t have enough money, then The Paleo Budget Shopping Guide is easily the most valuable resource you could ever purchase. Quit using a lame excuse. For real!
Robb Wolf’s 30 Day Total Body Transformation: I do not own a copy of the 30 Day Total Body Transformation myself, but I can definitely vouch for it since it was created by Robb Wolf. I have a man crush on this dude because he is doing so much to continue helping this movement move forward. He’s being noticed, but not enough. He owns a gym and knows how to transform bodies.
The 21 Day Sugar Detox: I’ve done Diane’s 21 Day Sugar Detox twice this year and just started round 3 yesterday. I can already tell that I will complete it as perfect as humanely possible. Third time is a charm I guess. If you are suffering from sugar cravings then there is a grand chance that this guide will help you curb them. Don’t try it just once.
The 30 Day Intro to Paleo: This is the new dude on the market. I don’t own The 30 Day Intro to Paleo resource myself, but it’s promising to become something epic. It’s worth checking out at the very least.
Rebel Fitness/Strength/Running Guides: I don’t own any of Steve’s guides but this guy knows what he is doing. He goes on traveling adventures that involve flying to 15 countries for just $418 total. He runs what seems to be the second most visited blog in the Primal community. His guides have helped hundreds and will continue to do so for the next several years.
The Primal Blueprint 21-Day Total Body Transformation: Can you really transform your body in 21 days? You can start. With this book, Mark explains what Primal living is all about. He also explains why living this way can dramatically improve your health, in a simple to understand matter. I do own this book, and can most definitely recommend it to others; especially those who are a big fan of Mark’s work on his blog.
The Primal Leap: This is expensive, but if you need that one-on-one help as well as a private forum with other humans who have purchased this, the Primal Leap Kit may be for you. If you need to be held by the hand and can learn easier from video, then this probably is for you.
Epic magazines
1 Year Paleo Magazine Subscription: I was a subscriber to the Paleo magazine for the first year it was in existence. I was always waiting for the next issue with eagerness and thoroughly enjoyed reading all the articles by a variety of contributors. I even contributed to the second issue about smoothies. Because I’ll be all over the place for the next 10 years I am no longer a subscriber, but am strongly considering subscribing again since I do have a home base. You can also pick up one issue at a time at Whole Foods, Barnes & Noble and more.
1 Year Paleo Lifestyle Magazine Subscription: This is an e-Magazine that is becoming a phenomenal resource. Brian Carr, the guy behind it all, is working his ass off to put the issues together on a monthly basis. I know because he emailed me about his idea and asked if I would be a regular contributor. Of course! In the second issue (which has been released) I debunk the top 10 paleo myths.
Epic educational goodies
The Real Food Summit: This is one of the most affordable educational resources out there. Upon completing the purchase, you will receive 27 audio files and presentations in video. There are multiple bonuses to boot. The Real Food Summit is a fantastic resource that I will be referencing multiple times in blog posts over the next several months.
Beyond Broccoli: The author is a former vegetarian who now eats animal products for optimal health. Reading books written by former vegetarians are always a good read it seems including this one. Click here to learn more about Beyond Broccoli.
Cereal Killer: This is a short book that you can learn a wealth of information from. It has similar concepts to Good Calories, Bad Calories.
An epic gift card
Amazon gift card: You can never go wrong with buying something on Amazon. They sell nearly everything and their prices are nearly impossible to beat. Right now I am waiting for 2 6 packs of Albacore Tuna from Wild Planet!
Disclaimer: There are a lot of links inside this post that will take you to a specific product or website that sells various products. If you end up buying something then I may make a small commission. All commissions that I earn go into growing my business further so I can more effectively spread the truth about health and wellness.
That’s it my friends. A new epic giveaway will be ready on October 1. Stay tuned!
